Mav shares much of his background with his My Brain Hurts counterpart, though he does not share the unfortunate ordeal with Zein Co. The scientists who discovered Mav administered his nanobot treatment then gave him over to the care of a local village. He did return to defeat Nightmare but was forced to kill his brother, Shiro, to get to him. While on Miruka Mav discovered the heirloom of his family, the broadsword Shorietsu, which helped him reach the mystic form for the first time. The sword was shattered in a later fight but reforged into a katana. Unlike his MBH counterpart Mav retained his ability to transform. His wind powers were not innate either, they were granted to him when he found the sword Narsil and it chose him as its wielder. Over his long life Mav has made many friends that he fights along side with to face anything that threatens the Earth. Mav is much more relaxed and carefree, probably due to the lack of Author’s presence, but shares the same sense of justice and determination.
