Avid is an alien from the planet Lehl, a planet that has enhanced spirituality. Because of this, Avid is a shaman, a being who is able to communicate and use the powers of spirits either through directintegration with their own body or in what's known as an Oversoul, integrating a spirit into an object that's meaningful to the spirit and using the spirit as a weapon. Avid, like all Spiratians, is also especially in tune with his own mind, and can transform and gain new powers if he is particularly influenced by the darkness (or by the light). Avid is a distant man, not generally showing any kind of emotion, and is normally cold when approached, though after their battle with Taito, he acts a bit warmer towards Mav, Dante, and Zoru. Currently, Avid is living on Earth with Zoru as his spirit partner - the two have not discovered an Oversoul yet (though not for lack of trying), but Zoru can integrate into Avid's body if need be. Regardless, Avid is still a strong fighter on his own.
