Spectre is a piece of the true Author, along with Author and Negative Author. Representing his innate goodness, Spectre is generally timid and cooperative, helping out whenever he can. When he first came into the comic, he saw both Author and Negative Author as enemies, and fought them both. Sometime later, Author found him practically dying from having not used his powers. Author then persuaded him to create the three Formblades, weapons that change form depending on who wields them. After this, he became Author's assistant, helping him out with odds and ends within the comic whenever needed. Though not generally thought of as a fighter due to his ghostly physique, Spectre proved to be of great aid in the fight against Negative Author, fusing together with Author to form a piece of the true Author, Positive Author.
