Dante's second Poopeymon, Rubios was caught just before the second Gym. A powerful Poopeymon, Rubios is very confident in its own skills, and takes that confidence with it into battles. Using a variety of powerful Fighting attacks, Rubios was Dante's favorite Pooepymon by far... That is, until he caught Blackfire.
Dante's third Poopeymon, Blackfire was originally trained by a young boy who challenged Zoru to a battle, but Dante saw its power and decided he wanted it - so he stole it. This makes Blackfire the second Poopeymon that Dante stole from another Trainer (the first being Zoru's Dig Dug). Blackfire doesn't really seem to miss its original Trainer very much - it aligns itself with whoever it sees as the most powerful, which, for the moment at least, is Dante, and once you have its trust, it will never betray you - until someone stronger comes along.
