Zoru's second Poopeymon, Dig Dug was stolen, unbeknownst to Zoru, from Pebble, the second Gym Leader, by Dante after Zoru was complaining of how he wanted a Dig Dug of his own. Dig Dug was originally reluctant to cooperate with a Trainer who had stolen him away from his home, but he eventually came to cooperate with him - whether this is out of affection or laziness is unclear.
Zoru's fourth Poopeymon, Mechanipuff was originally set to die in the explosion of the Wigglyberd's deck after being knocked out by Mav's, Dante's, and Zoru's other Poopeymon, but Zoru caught the Jigglypuff out of sympathy just before the blast. Certainly not a traditional Jigglypuff, Mechanipuff has a horrible singing voice, as well as a gruff attitude, but is completely loyal to Zoru for saving his life.
